Project Scope:
Part One: Cell VI – Construction
Excavated and stockpiled topsoil, clay and other native soil from Cell VI – 30,000 m³
Excavated and disposed of municipal solid waste from Cell VI – 5300 m³
Part Two: Cell VI – Liner System
Subgrade prep to 150 mm depth at 100% SPMDD – 22,550 sq.m
Clay liner 600 mm thick at 98% SPMDD at 2-4% above optimum MC – 22,550 sq.m
80 mil HDPE liner supply and install, includes cleaning and fusing to existing liner – 22,550 sq.m
Liner protection geotextile supply and install – 22,550 sq.m
Part Three: Cell VI Leachate Collection System
Supplied and installed perforated PVC leachate pipe, including washed rock and geotextile wrap – 250 lm
Supplied and installed 150 mm solid PVC leachate trunk line along eastern edge to new manhole; included operator valve, tied into existing manhole, trenching, backfill and associated works – 40 lm
Supplied and installed new leachate collection manhole; Includes excavation, backfill, operator valve, clean out wye with pipe, suction pipe, fittings and other associated works
Placed tire shred drainage layer - 450 mm thickness – 21,400 sq.m
Supplied and installed tire shred filter geotextile layer – 21,400 sq.m
Part Four: Cell VI Subdrains
Supplied new subdrain manhole
Installation of subdrain manholes, includes excavation, backfill, gravel base pad and associated works
Supplied and installed eastern and western subdrains. Includes trench excavation, backfill, drainage rock and geotextile wrap – 210 lm
Part Five: Cell VI Roads
Strip and salvage existing gravel
Subgrade prep to 150 mm depth at 100% SPMDD – 2575 sq.m
Installed salvaged gravel as sub-base, supplied and installed sub-base gravel, Supply and install base gravel – 2575 sq.m
Part Six: Class III Cell Capping
Subgrade grading – 20,900 sq.m
Clay cap placement 600 mm thick at 98% SPMDD at 2-4% above optimum moisture content – 12,540 m³
Subsoil placement 350mm thick at 95% SPMDD – 7320 m³
Topsoil placement 200 mm thick – 4180 m³
Seeding – 20,900 sq.m
